What is more beautiful than getting married on a vineyard? Getting married on your family’s vineyard! Roberta and Mike’s wedding took place at Cassel Vineyard in Hershey, Pennsylvania on the most beautiful October day. Their ceremony was in the middle of the vineyard, their guests sat on hay bales, the girls had coordinating teal colored dresses and boots, the tables were set with adorable mismatched china, and you have to just see the bride’s dress and hairpiece! I had such a fun day shooting beside Christy Nicole Photography!
I was thrilled to work with a group of talented wedding vendors including the ever talented Xiomara Roman of A Styled Fete to plan this shoot. After our crazy long winter this year, our goal was to create a wedding inspiration shoot that reflected all things spring, including an abundance of florals and color! Our spring theme was unintentionally made complete with a day full of rain showers. 😉
The Conservatory at Rockwood Mansion in Delaware was the setting. The conservatory, made up entirely of glass windows and filled with luscious plans, created a cheery, spring-like feel. The conservatory was styled perfectly by Xiomara. The vision included beautiful florals, pastel colors, lace, and a touch of romance and whimsy. She elegantly pulled it all together as the table was set in the center of the conservatory, surrounded by greenery and accented from above with Italian lights. The table was set with a blush colored floral runner, stunning centerpieces in mercury glass vases, adorable bridal plates from BHLDN that said “I do” and “Me Too,” vintage silverware, candle sticks set in moss, and champagne goblets filled with rose colored champagnes and topped with a floral accent. The showstopper undoubtedly was the floral designs by Heather Potter of Cottage Flowers Floral Design. She created beautiful floral wreaths that were displayed above the cake table, chair decor to accent the bride and groom’s chairs, stunning centerpieces, gorgeous bouquets, and a stunning floral crown for the bride. Her creations included garden roses, peonies, ranunculus, tulips, anemone, jasmine vine, clematis, viburnum, and sweet peas, among other beautiful spring flowers.
The wedding cake, complete with a broach and rosy frills, was designed by Peri Anderson of Brooklyn Girl Bakery and was displayed in front of the large windows of the conservatory on a small vintage dresser that was painted a mint color. Pink depression glass dishes and milk glasses were used to display the desserts, including delicious macaroons. The stationary was romantic and elegant watercolor wreath stationary designed by Heather of Leveret Paperie. They included hand-drawn details, completing the rosy and romantic theme.
The bride wore a stunning gown provided by The Bridal Emporium of Elizabethtown, PA, which had delicate lace and beaded cap sleeves. The girls’ hair and makeup was styled by Alex and Lauren of Taffeta Hair & Makeup Design. The brides’ and bridesmaid’s jewelry was also part of their gorgeous Shimmer Bridal Collection. Colin Comstock of Merryweather Films was there to capture the entire event. Make sure to check out his video below as well as the links for all the vendors! Here are some of my favorites! Enjoy!
Many thanks to the following very talented vendors:
